Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

Teachers play a very important role in a student’s life. It is, to a great extent, the teachers who decide the shape a student’s life will take.
So, it is very necessary to be adequately equipped with resources that will make the teacher a perfect role model to the students. To achieve this, Bachelor of Education or B.Ed was introduced, which will teach a person about teaching and the various aspects associated with teaching. Almost every central and state university offers degree in B.Ed.

Objective

The objectives of the Bachelor of Education degree program are to:

  • Provide Learners upper - level degree completion courses that enhance their knowledge, competency, and professional skill sets needed to perform successfully in the K - 12 environment.
  • Familiarize Learners with theoretical paradigms and research models to support their professional practice as educators.
  • Offer Learners opportunities to analyse and critique their instructional practice to improve student achievement.

Admission

Admissions in the college are done by the Centralized Online counselling system by the State Government of Haryana on the basis of marks in qualifying exams.

Eligibility

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree of any recognized university by the UGC or any other Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.

NOTE

  • There shall be no rounding off of percentage of marks of the qualifying examination from 0.5% and above to next higher number for determining the eligibility i.e. 49.5% and above will not be rounded off to 50%.
  • 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • 45% marks for Blind /Physically Handicapped and Visually Impaired candidates.
