MKM Group of Colleges For Girls Visit to Surajkund International Crafts Festival 2026

Students of MKM Group of Colleges For Girls had the wonderful opportunity to visit the 39th Surajkund International Crafts Festival 2026, one of the largest and most vibrant cultural fairs in the world. The visit was organized as part of the institution’s effort to provide students with exposure to India’s rich cultural heritage, traditional arts, and global craftsmanship.

The Surajkund International Crafts Festival 2026 was held from 31 January to 15 February 2026 at Surajkund, Faridabad (Haryana). The event is jointly organized by the Government of Haryana along with the Ministries of Tourism, Culture, Textiles, and External Affairs, showcasing traditional handicrafts, handlooms, cultural performances, and cuisines from India and many other countries.

Cultural and Educational Exposure

The educational visit provided students with an enriching experience where they explored hundreds of stalls featuring handmade products created by skilled artisans from across India and abroad. The fair offered a unique platform for students to witness the beauty of traditional craftsmanship, including pottery, textiles, jewelry, paintings, and decorative art.

Students also gained insights into the importance of preserving cultural heritage and supporting local artisans. The visit helped them understand how traditional skills are being promoted and sustained in modern markets through such international platforms
