About the FOUNDER OF THE SOCIETY

 

The founder of this society, Ch. Rajender Singh spent his entire lifetime in the development of Education, Unity & Goodwill of the society. He was himself highly qualified with B.Sc. (H) Agriculture in 1944 from Layalpur, Lahore (Now in Pakistan) and understood the importance of education in the society so he under the guidance of his father Ch. Samsher Singh Ji started 1st school of the region from his home itself and later donated his land and formed “Jat High School”. He also donated his land for “Ravidas Bhavan” and “Arya Samaj Mandir.” In the year 1968 with a view of providing higher education to the area he laid the foundation stone of “Brij Mandal College, Hodal”. This college started with two streams: Science & Commerce. Later, realising the increasing importance of women education he in 1999 established “Maharani Kishori Memorial Kanya Mahavidyalaya”, in 2006 “Maharani Kishori Memorial College of Education” & in 2010 “Maharani Kishori Memorial College of Polytechnic”. Today more than 5000 girls from every hook and nook of the Nation are taking professional education through various streams in this college.

 

In his entire lifetime Ch. Rajender Singh Ji established various social and educational Institutions in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh. He eagerly participated in various social work in Jaipur. His entire life was dedicated to Goodwill & Unity in the area & thus set an example.

 

Ch. Rajender Singh Ji made a special contribution in the field of Archaeological & Historical evidences. He established various historical remains from Rajmahal & his own area in the museum established by Acharya Bhagwan Dev in Jhajjar Gurukul.

 

He along with his classmate Pakistan’s Ex-President Ch. Tarar honored Sir Chhotu Ram (States Grand Jaat Leader & God of the Farmers) with the title of “RehwareAzzam” at the Punjab University.

 

He got married to Smt. Shobhana Devi (in 1948) daughter of Sardar Harlal Singh Ji who was a great freedom fighter. Smt. Shobhana Devi was the first female graduate from Banasthali Vidhyapeeth. She always kept trying to push girls education. According to the resolution of Brij Mandal Society it was Smt. Shobhana Devi who in the year 1966 proposed and requested them to open a college for girls. In 1968 after the consideration of her proposal Brij Mandal College was established. In 1979-80 Brij Mandal College was transferred to the Government of India.

 

She kept continuing her efforts for girls’ education since 1980. It was due to her continuous effort foundation stone of Maharani Kishori Memorial Kanya Mahavidyalaya was laid in 1995 and educational level started in 1997. The society will always consider as the source of motivation and keep working hard for the bright future of the girls.

 

Smt. Shobhana Devi dedicated her entire life to girl education and empowerment.
