         THREE YEAR DEGREE COURSE

An Overview

B.SC (H) in mathematics at MKM college is a 3 years course at the UG level. It consists six semester, each year has two semesters. This course mainly contains the theory and practical abilities in multiple domains of mathematics, both plays very important role to learn this course. This program seek out patterns, formulate new conjectures, and establish truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definition. Understanding of concepts and techniques drawn from number and algebra, trigonometry and world geometry, sequences, finance, networks and decision mathematics and statistics, in order to solve applied problems. The syllabus of this course is based on credit system which is mention below.

MATHEMATICS COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course reviews the following outcomes :

  1. Recognize the mathematical objects that are groups, and classify them as abelian, cyclic and permutation groups. etc
  2. Analyze consequences of Lagrange’s theorem.
  3. Learn about structure preserving maps between groups and their consequences.
  4. Mathematical structure, transition, and space.
  5. Mathematical communication: Students will demonstrate the ability to communicate mathematical ideas clearly.
  6. Practical problems based upon MATLAB, TORA.
  7. Extension of series.
  8. Mathematical terminology and proper mathematical notation.
